Hochbunker
Hochbunker was designed to provide protection of civilians in air strikes.
Hochbunkerne were usually built in concrete, with a thickness of 1 to 1.5 meters and were often located in residential areas, at railway stations or near large factories.
Hochbunkers considered through the war many forms, usually they were square but rectangular, round and even shaped as pyramid was built.
The cost to demolish these concrete boxes after the war, would have been enormous and most are therefore to this day scattered across Germany.
Many are empty, while several are used for other purposes, such as stock.
